His Excellency Mohammad Hassan

Executive Director of Data & Statistics Sector at Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center UAE

His Excellency Mohammad Hassan has been the Executive Director of Data and Statistics Sector at Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center since 2015. His duties include coordination between government institutions in order to achieve national statistical strategy, supervise the provision of data and information supporting decision makers. He is currently a member of the United Nation Global Data Working Group for big data and advisor in the United Nation Global Platform for Data.

Prior to that, he worked as the Director of government sector at microsoft gulf focusing in the business development and digitizing government services. He has also worked in the banking sector and has held many positions in the banking and investment sector for individuals and companies, with experience in the field of information technology and project management as well as being a certified ISO quality management.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the american national university in addition to the diploma of management information systems from the UAE higher colleges of technology. Graduated from UAE government leadership program and completed massachusetts institute of technology (MIT Sloan) “Study of the impacts of artificial intelligence on business strategy”

Ahmad Alhammadi

Chief Information Officer at Abu Dhabi Municipality

Ahmad is an information technology expert with solid experience in digital transformation and emerging technologies. He has over 13 years of continuous work experience in the IT industry across the Government sector.

Since his appointment as the Director of IT at Abu Dhabi municipality, Ahmed was able to effectively lead the IT team to the successful execution and delivery of multiple transformational projects. He has made tangible contribution to the advancement of the organization through the successful projects delivered under his supervision. His strategic goals gear towards providing digital-Services, minimize service delivery time, enhance staff efficiency, and improve accuracy and authenticity. Driven by these strategic goals, the projects he focused on have delivered enormous impact and benefits for Abu Dhabi Municipality as well as for other municipalities.

Moreover, Ahmad has built new innovative incubating models, programs, communication channels, and high-end strategies including the smart city strategy, artificial intelligence, blockchain and more. Ahmed is a holder of Master degree in crisis management.

Dr. Alya Harbi

Director of Statistics and Researches Center at MOHAP

Dr. Alya Harbi is a director of statistics and research within Ministry of Health and Prevention- UAE and a PhD holder in the field of data science. She plays a critical role in illustrating UAE Health population through managing health data and information across the country. Dr Alya knows what truly needed to enhance population health management. She values excellence, leadership, community happiness and innovation. She launched and completed one of the biggest health studies in UAE that is related to National Health Survey where she worked in collaboration with different organizations and stakeholders to make it successful. Moreover, she was leading the first national cancer registry project in UAE and was responsible of making UAE a lead in that field. Dr Alya currently establishing the enterprise data warehouse and nationwide disease registries for all UAE health data which is an Integrated Information Technology solution that will help MOHAP collecting, aggregating, analyzing and representing data to help in decision making and refining policies. She is a member of the National SDGs committee representing the health side of UAE as well the UAE focal point for Health Information Systems within World Health Organization

Anwaar Al Shimmari

Chief Innovation Officer at Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure UAE

Anwaar Al Shimmari is Chief Innovation Officer at the UAE’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure where she also leads the artificial intelligence (AI) team and the authority’s Scientific Research committee. She is a member of the UAE 50 years Preparedness Task Force. Eng. Al Shimmari has 19 years of multi-discipline experience in architecture, urban planning, engineering, and infrastructure sectors. She is official judge, keynote speaker and trainer in the fields of engineering, Innovation, AI, and Leadership. She have judged over 4000 individuals, entities, and projects including Sharjah Innovation Award 2020.

Hessa Salem Al Nahdi

CISO at Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi – UAE

Hessa Salem Al Nahdi is the Chief Information Security Officer, and a member of senior management team in Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi. She leads DCT Abu Dhabi’s information and corporate security strategies and operations as she sets the directions of security programs, architecture, solutions, fosters innovation, to ensure that visitors of Abu Dhabi have secured, valuable, personalized and engaging experience. To enable sustainable, scalable digitalized functions and integrations between entities, to enhance visitor experience and to position Abu Dhabi emirate as a world class destination. Ms. Al Nahdi performs intensive research to empower secure business transformation, as she is developing threat intelligence ecosystem.

Sean Patrick O’Brien is the General Manager and Head of strategy, innovation and value for public services and healthcare within EMEA south.

A former public official with extensive experience in regional, local and central government. Sean has specialist expertise in smarter cities, public security and digital innovation.

Sean brings 30+ years of experience and expertise in public services and healthcare, as a former senior government official and now in the technology sector, he has worked with many governments across the globe on their technology enabled transformative journeys.

In the last decade, Sean has travelled extensively in a global role, advising on how governments can improve outcomes, using digitization as a lever to innovate around the core business of government (Prosperity, Protection and Provision).

Passionate about public services and healthcare, Sean dedicates a significant amount of time to advising and participating in various global think tanks and NGO’s on the subject of the next normal.
